This is a year where the Dog is “tsong Tai Sui”, or in opposition to the Deity of the Year, as the Dog is in a direct opposite position to the Dragon and this is the year of the Dragon. This is not such a good year where things may not go very well and there are many falsities, of people and things, and finances will be unstable; therefore, it is not advisable to do very important things. This is a more worrisome year to predict. However, the Dog should not have a futile attitude, where the Dog already feels defeated before the battle has begun. If all time and energy is spent on worrying, then it would be reasonable to expect that luck would not be good. But bear in mind that every zodiac sign will have the opportunity to tsong and fan Tai Sui. Tsong and fan Tai Sui does not necessary mean that the year will be bad, but just that there are a lot of changes that produce more trouble and obstacles, but not certainty of disaster. It may even be that after the change there may be good opportunities. If the Dog can take a normal attitude and not be impulsive, follow a straight path, carefully plan, improve self-value and networking, good may follow. The hard work, effort and perseverance are a solution. However, because it is a year of tsong-fan Tai Sui, to a greater or lesser degree, there will be disruptions and obstacles. But because there is a good star shining on the Dog this year, the Dog can increase vigilance and take a stable position this year, bad can become good. To reduce bad occurrences this year, the Dog can increase participation in celebrations, for example getting married, having a child, having a birthday party, etc.

This year, meeting new people and love relationships will be more plentiful due to another star. The single Dog will therefore likely meet the love of their life, so really, not everything is terrible this year. The single Dog can have an opportunity to marry this year. However, the married Dog should not have a wondering heart, thinking that he/she can meet someone new; unlike the single Dog, rather than joyous, it will be disaster for the married Dog. This relationship star is more helpful to females than males, where women may cause major problems for the male Dog. The already married Dog, regardless of male or female, must have more self-control to resist the temptations of an affair as it may not only sour spousal and family relationship, it may also negatively affect career and finances.

Financial luck is not bad this year. There may even be financial opportunities in the beginning of the year. However, the problem is that the Dog has aspirations that are too high, wanting new opportunities, jobs, or responsibilities. There will be opportunities, but the Dog must be practical and know the limits of his/her capabilities. The Dog must be aware that in the process won’t go smoothly as there will be unexpected disruptions and obstacles. The Dog should also be mentally prepared to accept that there could be failure halfway through due to unexpected obstacles or sabotage by other people. If the Dog takes one step at a time, don’t be afraid of failure, yet not setting standards too high, the effort may bring about desired results.

This is a year where the fruits of the Dog’s labor will benefit others more. The Dog will find that the rewards from his/her hard work are much less than deserved as it will be taken away by others. Though this seems unfair, if the Dog tries to oppose this, the result may be that even the little bit of reward will be gone. The Dog should therefore adjust his/her attitude to one of a generous, sharing nature, that perhaps giving more to others can return as good in the future.

The Dog’s career in the year of the Dragon is more suitable to be dynamic rather than static, be it traveling, working abroad, getting a new job, or even moving homes and renovations. This dynamism acts to neutralize some of the effects of tsong Tai Sui. Doing work that relies on self using creativity, for example hand-crafted work, writing, advertising, or entertainment, will have better gains for the Dog this year. In particular for the latter half of the year, if the Dog can go abroad or try things he/she has never done before, rather than keeping with the same things in the same place; do not be lazy and do absolutely nothing simply because this year is tsong Tai Sui, or else be left behind by society. The analogy is that a boat does advance on its own and with no rowing, will drift backwards. This is a year where it is not suitable for the Dog to cooperate with others for work or business, as friends may be lost due to money. The Dog must learn more and do more by him/herself and be honorable in his/her actions; do not succumb to greed and small gains and do things against your conscience due to greed. Seeking reputation will be more important than seeking fortune this year. If investing and trading stocks, do not have high expectations or else risk becoming poor due to greed. It is also important for the Dog to save for a rainy day and not spend excessively, as there will be many unexpected expenses that if ill-prepared for, can put the Dog in dire financial distress. It would be wise not to step into any gray areas as there may be a risk of imprisonment. Know when to move forward and know when to stop; immediately hold back and collect when there are good returns. Proceed stably over this year of tsong Tai Sui or else succumbing to greed will only lead to failure.

In terms of health this year, be careful of injury to the head and limbs. There may also be a risk of cardiovascular disease. The female Dog will also need to take care in the area of the female reproductive system. There may be dangers related to the home safety, in particular fire hazard.
