The year of the Rat is both a good and bad year for the Goat. Things may appear to initially go well for the Goat, but because of the direction of unlucky stars, failure may ensue. Therefore, the Goat must enter the year with the mindset of having initial success and then having to deal with challenges that arise later. Until success is finally achieved, the Goat must still have his/her guard up and be prepared to manage problems and not announce his/her progresses of success to people, or else risk gossip and disruption of plans by competitors, leading to subsequent failure.
This is a year of gossip and change for the Goat. As a result, the Goat must improve interpersonal relationships, be able to compromise, and keep out of other people's business as good deeds may turn sour; problems may arise from the words that the Goat speaks. For the first half of the year, the Goat must maintain status quo and not set goals of grandeur or hoping to make financial gains without effort; as a result, the Goat's luck will get worse and worse. If the Goat is able to evaluate his/her surroundings and network, things can be more easily accomplished.
A problem this year for the Goat is a lack of confidence and direction. In one instance, the Goat may set goals that are too high, and in the next, the Goat becomes lazy and unmotivated with avoidance behavior and the tendency to walk a stray path. Or alternatively, the Goat may try to rely on other people too much and try to go on free rides. Unfortunately, there are no free lunches in this world. If the Goat is unable to keep up with societal changes and improve his/her value, then he/she gets left behind, unable to compete.
Financial luck this year will appear to be real, but is in actuality false. The Goat may think that a little bit of financial return will continue to be good and that once money is spent, it will continue to come. Therefore, the Goat must be cautious of spending money that he/she does not have, as money comes and goes where one moment the Goat will have money, then the next, the Goat can be dirt poor. The Goat also needs to be cautious about greed for money causing financial loss and litigation. Be especially cautious of the so called friends and relatives who ask the Goat to lend money, invest, collaborate, or be a loan guarantor, as these people will try to con you, taking advantage of the Goat's greed. Though it was mentioned that financial gains can be made by those who use their mouths as an occupation, there still must be tact in words spoken as speaking too much can create problems. Especially in the areas of male-female relationships and money, the Goat would be wise to keep out of other people's business.
This is year where disaster or bad luck ensues after financial gains are made, for example, unexpected automobile repairs, home repairs, theft, home invasion, and loss of possessions; the end result is the loss of the money gained, through various different facets. Therefore, the Goat should try to avoid making unnecessary expenses and always save for a rainy day regardless of how well he/she is doing financially. When money does come, it is important for the Goat to donate to charity or to share his/her wealth with family and friends, to reduce the risk of money bring about financial loss and litigation.
The Goat will have an unstable mood this year and because of volatile temper, negatively affect how his/her partner feels about the relationship. The Goat will require prompt improvement of attitude and improve open communication or else risk the loss of love relationships due to third parties. The single Goat needs to be aware that he/she may easily be involved in a triangle love relationship by being the third person and at the end will end up empty-handed. The Goat must have patience in facing relationship problems, and then eventually, the relationship can be more settled.
There are no major illnesses for the Goat this year, but caution will still need to be taken in terms of eating and drinking, leading to illnesses such as hepatitis, gastroenteritis, and allergic reactions. Be careful of motor vehicle accidents in the fall and winter and in addition to avoiding dangerous driving, the Goat should not participate in high risk activities. The Goat should also avoid attending funerals and visiting the sick, as that can increase the risk of the very young and the elderly in the family becoming ill. As a result of gossip and bad temper, the Goat will easily become physically injured or have legal troubles.
